それっぽい英語 plebiscite

国民投票ですね、plebiscite。最近の英国EU離脱に関する記事でも目にしました。

pleb = 普通の人、scitum = decree、という語源らしいです。まあplebで始まる単語はplebisciteとplebぐらいしか普通はお目にかからない感じがするので、この２つの単語は普通に丸暗記でよいですかね。
