Steve Jobs 氏が亡くなった際に色々思い出を語ったりしていたアノ人は出てきませんでした。日本関係で話題に挙ったのは禅のお師匠さん、ソニー関連、三宅一生氏ぐらいですかね。

Kindleでしおり (the furthest location) をリセットする

一から調べようとしたんですけど、以前に自分でまとめたことを思い出しました。

ちゃんとリセットできて一安心だけど、出来ればアプリからクリック一つでリセットできるようにして欲しいかも。

RunKeeper と WiFi Body Scale (無線LAN体重計) を連携してみる

久しぶりにRunkeeperのサイトを覗いて見たんですけど、以前と比べて順調にできることが増えてますね。

環境はしっかり整えたので「久しぶりに」走ってこようと思います...。

（補足）FOMAからXiへの切替はMy Docomo (マイドコモ) ではなくドコモショップで

My Docomo、電話 (151) ではFOMAから契約変更は出来ず、ドコモショップへ足を運ぶ必要があるようですね。契約を切替るタイミングでシムカードを交換する業務フローになっているようなんで、それが理由ですかね。

一応、契約変更するとこんな感じで「Xi契約」になったことが My Docomo 上で分かって、ちょっと嬉しいかも。とりあえずXiパケホーダイフラットにXiトーク24も付けてみました。

【更新】Xi (クロッシィ) トーク & パケホーダイ申し込み (for シムフリーiPhone 4S)

本日2011/11/24(木)のXiスマホ発売にあわせて解禁のXi (クロッシィ) トーク & パケホーダイをシムフリーiPhone 4Sで利用するべくドコモショップへ行って契約してきました。以下、簡単に注意点などまとめましたが、問題なく契約手続きが完了してiPhone、別の言い方をすると「XiではないFOMA端末」でXiトーク & パケホーダイが利用可能になりました、私の環境では。

月々割りが無くなります
私はSIMだけ契約なので関係無いですが。

事務手数料
2,100円掛かります、次回料金と合算で。 FOMA側の一年割などは解約になりますが、Xiへ移る場合はノーペナです。

SIM変わります
物理的には同じっぽいですが要変更で、手数料3,000円が次回支払に合算です。もちろんマイクロSIMでOKです。
SIMのサイズが同じ場合交換不要でした。もし交換されてしまった場合は返金を受けられるようです。（12/7交換）

一応、ちゃんと動くか保証できないと告知がありました

SIMフリー機持っている、テザリング使っている、あたりに該当する方は検討していいプランじゃないですかね。キャンペーン終了後も毎月6,000円弱のパケホーダイフラットは10,000円以上これまで毎月払ってきたことを考えると本当にありがたいです。

一応、毎月のデータ通信量の上限を超えると追銭 or 128kbpsへ大幅速度ダウンと言う制限はありますが、まあ普通にiPhone使って、たまににテザリングする程度だったら多分全然収まると思うので。 （そんな感じの私は毎月大体3GB弱です、余裕ですね。）

ちなみにアクセスポイントはmopera.netのまま変更なしで使えています。

Enable userdir on apache2

I wanted a directory named "public_html" under each user home directory for a public web folder.

(1) Enable mod_userdir
sudo a2emod userdir

(2) Edit userrdir.conf
sudo vi /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/userdir.conf, and then make sure the line "UserDir public_html" are included.

(3) Restart apache2
sudo /etc/int.d/apache2 restart

and also make sure that your home directory is accessible from a user running apache2. Permissions of your home directory will be "711" and your public_html will be 755.

sudoer and ssh on ubuntu and prgmr.com

1. sudoer
(1) Add admin by executing the following command
addgroup admin

(2) Add user to admin group by executing the following command
add username admin

(3) Add the following line to /etc/sudoers for giving sudo rights to admin group
# Members of the admin group may gain root privileges
%admin ALL=(ALL) ALL

2. ssh
(1) On ubuntu, do ssh-keygen -t dsa and then remove generated files. This is just for creating .ssh directory under your home.
(2) Copy my public key to remote server:~/.ssh/authorized_keys
(3) Do chmod .ssh/authorized_keys.

(1) Manual ip address configuration on ubuntu

My new ip address is the following.
$host xxx.new.xen.prgmr.com has address NNN.NNN.NNN.NNN

/etc/network/interfaces has been modified to update with the above.

(2) Install dns utilities
The dig and other dns utilities has been installed by the following command line.
sudo apt-get install dnsutils

(3) Remap my own domain to a new global ip address
Two of A records, @ and www, have been updated with the new addresses.
